Oil truly is a dinosaur; it is made from the decayed organic matter of their bodies. It is also damaging to our environment and it is only a matter of time until we stop using it. With any luck, we will innovate our way out of the current environmental mess we're in. Oil will become a dinosaur once again as it fades from usage and becomes a memory. In the Judeo-Christian origin myth, Adam and Eve are the first man and woman. They have a utopian existence in the Garden of Eden until Eve is tempted to eat the Forbidden Fruit by the Devil, disguised as a Serpent. The Forbidden Fruit gave Adam and Eve the knowledge of good and evil. The ethnobotanist and philosopher, Terence McKenna, believed that the evolution of humans was hastened by the consumption of psychedelic mushrooms.

The five villages that make up Cinque Terra in Southern Italy hold special memories for Jack and Shannon London. I don't normally attempt paintings like this, so it was an interesting challenge for me. Jack and Shannon are old friends and I wanted to do my best work. We were all happy with the results.
